Special Sale of Slightly Damaged Books

The Review and Herald now have a limited number of books that are damaged just enough to prevent their being sold for perfect copies. They are just as good as new books for individual use, yet the proportionality of the reduced prices to the actual damage of the books, renders this sale a rare opportunity for the readers of the Review to secure any or all of the following works for the special prices quoted.

The Desire of Ages

This is an elegant, new, and beautifully illustrated work, revealing in Christ the love of the Father reconciling the world unto himself—Christ as God manifest in the flesh, the Desire of ages.
Thoroughly indexed. Printed on extra paper; 900 large octavo pages. Nearly good as new. In the cloth binding, marble edges, regular price, $3.50. Reduced price, $2.60, postpaid.

Great Controversy

This beautiful book presents the most interesting history that has ever been written of the great conflict between Christianity and the powers of darkness, as illustrated in the lives of Christian martyrs and reformers on the one hand, and wicked men and persecuting powers on the other. Beginning with our Lord's great prophecy while viewing Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, this book outlines the history of the whole dispensation down to the time when “sin and sinners are no more.”
Attractively bound in cloth and full morocco; gilt edges; 700 pages. Regular price in the cloth binding, $2.75. Reduced price, $2, postpaid. Full morocco binding, regular price, $4.50. Reduced price, $3.30, postpaid.

Patriarchs and Prophets

One of the great books; a companion volume to “Great Controversy;” an excellent and important commentary on the principal Bible subjects from Adam to the death of David, tracing the great conflict of good and evil from its inception down through the centuries, and revealing God's wonderful love for mankind through his dealings with holy men of old. One of the most practical books published.
Very slightly damaged, in the beautiful cloth binding, gilt edges; 760 pages. Regular price, $2.75. Reduced price, $2, postpaid.

Easy Steps in the Bible Story

The best Bible-story book for children published. From creation to Sinai, the Bible facts are given in the same order of the Bible, but told in simple, easy story form, interesting, instructive, and profitable to children. It is a book that will give a child a good foundation for a thorough, connected knowledge of the Scriptures. In fact, it is a child's Bible in simple form.
In good cloth binding, nicely illustrated, 160 pages; regular price, 50 cents. Reduced price on very slightly damaged copies, 35 cents, postpaid.

Looking Unto Jesus

An entirely new, original, and exhaustive concordance on the sanctuary question, showing the present work of Christ and its meaning to us who are living. Christ in type and antitype as revealed in prophecy from the beginning.
Neatly bound in cloth; 300 pages. Illustrated. Damage scarcely noticeable. Regular price, $1. Reduced price, 75 cents, postpaid.
Order all of the books described above of the Review and Herald, Battle Creek, Mich.

A Five Years' Diary in One Book

We have a few copies of the Line-a-Day Diaries, large size, which sell for $1.50, each. To close them out at once, we will mail them, postpaid, for $1 per copy.
The arrangement places a record of the same day in every month throughout the five years on every page of the Diary, thereby focusing on one page five daily records for as many years. An excellent arrangement for record keeping. One book lasts five years. Substantially bound in Russia and gilt edge. While they last, $1 each, postpaid.

A Critical Harmony of the Gospels

By James P. Cadman
“By its ingenious arrangement a close comparison between the narratives can be made with great facility.”—The Independent.
We have a few copies of this book in good condition, which we will close out for $1.25, postpaid.

One Hundred Sets “History of the Sabbath”

For 40 cents each
The same signatures that are used in the regular “History of the Sabbath” are bound in three separate volumes with paper covers. The matter in every particular is the same as in the regular bound book. These paper volumes are slightly damaged, and we offer them, postpaid, for 40 cents per set as long as they last. Order of the Review and Herald Publishing Co., Battle Creek, Mich.

Life of Joseph Bates

The life of Joseph Bates was full of unselfish motives and noble actions, and his biography is the best kind of reading for the young people. It contains 320 pages, and the price is reduced from 85 cents to 35 cents, postpaid.
