The Bible Record not Disproved.
It is said that so many men of science are eager to seize any fact that appears to discredit the Mosaic account of creation; but many as have been the discoveries which have been expected to overthrow the Scripture record, they have miserably failed and its integrity is unimpeached. A large number of human and seemingly very ancient relics which were found, some time ago, near Natchez in Mississippi, were pronounced by certain scientific men, to belong to an age of extreme antiquity; but on being examined carefully, a hog's tooth was found among them, which brings the date of their history a long way this side of the deluge, as that animal was brought to this country by the Spaniards.
