Humility

IT is the ripe wheat that bows its head, while the tare stands upright. He who has a humble spirit does not exalt self. God desires His people to serve Him with all humility of mind. Acts 20:19.
A certain renowned scientist once attended a meeting of royal personages; and as he entered the room, they all rose to do him honor. He whispered to a friend: “Did the king’s son just come in? And was this demonstration in his honor?” He did not dream that he himself was worthy of the tribute of respect. The Christian esteems others better than himself, hence has no envy. Phil. 2:3.
