Trade Unions Oppose Capitalistic Combines

The convention of British Trade Unions in session at London passed unanimously on August 5, a resolution against “capitalistic combines,” declaring that unless the State shall take control of the trusts at once, the State would soon be controlled by them. The resolution advocated the municipal ownership of these combines as the only solution. The convention went on record as opposed to the Boer war and against all wars of foreign aggression.
