Peary Ends His North Pole Attempts

LIEUTENANT PEARY, the Arctic explorer, who has just returned from the North, reports that he will make no more attempts to reach the North Pole. He declares that the Pole can be reached; that it is simply a matter of adequate equipment; and that he could have reached the Pole on this voyage if his outfit had been sufficient.
