COLORADO

We have made several tours in Colorado for health, have preached some in that new State, and know something of the state of the cause there. We love the mountains and pure air of Colorado, and Mrs. W. and the writer design to be on the ground in early spring, and spend some time there next summer.
Colorado is a promising field of labor, and through the faithful labors of Elder Corliss the young cause stands well. There are no reasons why our brethren in Colorado should suffer discouragements to come upon them, or slacken their hands in paying their tithe. We suggest, that for safe keeping of their funds, and that they may be ready when Colorado shall be blessed with a laborer, or laborers, that when twenty-five or fifty dollars be collected, it be forwarded to REVIEW AND HERALD; Battle Creek, Mich., to be used by the General Conference till needed. That our brethren may know how Bro. Corliss is regarded by the General Conference, we give here a resolution unanimously adopted by the General Conference now in session:—
“Resolved, That we deeply sympathize with Elder J. O. Corliss in his sickness, which made it necessary for him to leave the encouraging field of labor in Colorado, and pledge our brotherly care, and our prayers for his recovery, that he may return to his field of labor in that State at the opening of next tent season.” J.
