BEYOND THE RIVER.

We shall meet beyond the river, When the storms of life are o’er, Naught shall then our hearts e’er sever, When we reach the golden shore.
Oh, the glorious day is dawning, And I see the beams of light, For I’m looking for the morning That shall end in glory bright.
Lift your eyes, ye sad and weary, See the mansions bright above; For the night so long and dreary, Ends in joy, and light, and love.
Are thine eyes now dim with weeping, O’er earth partings, hard to bear, For the loved ones who are sleeping, Once so joyous, bright, and fair?
Lift thine eyes, why yield to sadness? For the Saviour will provide; He will turn thy grief to gladness, Ever in thy heart abide.
Jesus lives, he lives forever, And his saints will joyful meet In that home beyond the river, Where our bliss shall be complete.
