NORTH PACIFIC CONFERENCE.

Soon after my last report, I spent a little time with Bro. Ward near West Chehalem, Or., where he has been laboring for some time. We organized a tract society, and a church of ten members, and hope others will soon be added to their number.

April 17 I went to Clarke Co., W. T., and held a few meetings where Bro. Reed labored last winter. One family at that time took a decided stand. Others are undecided still. One man walked ten miles, and another fourteen miles, to attend my meetings, and they were present at all or nearly all the discourses. I visited their families, and five who had never before kept the Sabbath signed the covenant. We here saw signal evidence of the work of the Spirit of God. Another man who has recently commenced to keep the Sabbath from reading, attended these meetings. I hope that a church may yet be organized.
