TO-DAY

By Elizabeth Cummings

To fill the measure of to-day, O Christ, is all I ask; I dare not think of months or years, Or what they hold of joys and tears; I tremble at each new to-day, Give patience sweet, and hope, I pray, And faith with fiery wings, and stay My heart with love, just for to-day. —Elizabeth Cummings.
