The Necessity of a Thorough Change

—Nothing less than a thorough change will avail; neither tears nor trouble of mind, neither desires nor intentions, nor yet the relinquishing of some sins, nor the performance of some good, will avail any thing, but a new “creature” that comprehends more in it than words can express; and perhaps after all that can be done, never thoroughly to be understood by what he hears from others, but by what he must feel himself.—Robert South.
