OUR series of lectures closed here with a precious Sabbath meeting. There are about forty reliable Sabbath-keepers and among them a professor and son, graduates, and their assistant teachers of the institute in this place. Another is a public speaker of talent. This is a strong company, well instructed in the truth.
We have visited about sixty families, sold about forty dollars' worth of books, and obtained twenty-three subscribers for our periodicals, besides sending one hundred and seventy-eight names to other states for the SIGNS.

Elder C.'s friends and the community are disappointed in him, and vote his position untenable. The desire of the people forced him to affirm the sacredness of Sunday. Our tent was packed full. He admitted on Matt. 10:28, that God can destroy the soul; and that eternal and everlasting do not always mean without end. The Lord is giving us strong men, and the work is cheering. Let us labor, pray, and wait.
