Avoiding Food Waste

ONE of the commonest of wastes is in preparing too much food, and when the meal is over, throwing out the "scraps." It is said that a French family could live well on what an American family wastes. Foresight should be used in preparing the proper amount of food for the meal. By skillful cooking, whatever food may be in excess can be incorporated into tasty dishes for subsequent meals.
