Memory Verses from the Bible

"Memory Verses from the Bible."—We received some time ago, and regret that we have not noted it before, a little pamphlet of thirty-two pages from the Rev. R. H. Smith, Walkertown, Virginia, entitled "Memory Verses from the Bible." The price is two cents, but if the price includes postage it ought to be three. The design of the little booklet is to induce Sunday-schools to learn the Word of the Lord, and then review from time to time. The same thing can be used by any one in private. The pamphlet is divided up into weeks and also into subjects. For instance, the first subject is "The Word of God;" the second is "God," revealing Him as the everlasting Creator, and the blessed, unchanging character He has; the third is "Sin;" following that "Salvation," "Precepts and Promises," "Prayer," etc., closing with the Ten Commandments. Of course one really ought to know many more Scripture verses than are contained in this little pamphlet, but to one who has not been garnering precious gems from the Bible, this will prove a good start, a little pocket of pearls, which one may begin to commit and treasure, and place in the various settings of every-day experience.
