Ăg'nus Dē'ī, n.

n. [Lat., lamb of God.]

1. (Rom. Cath. Church.) A cake of wax stamped with the figure of a lamb, supporting the banner of the cross. It is consecrated by the pope, and is supposed to possess great virtues.
2. A prayer in the office of the mass, beginning with these words.
