Aorist

n. [Gr. ἀόριστος, without boundaries, indefinite, from ἀ priv. and ὁρίζειν, to mark out boundaries, ὅρος, boundary, limit.] (Gram.) A tense in the Greek language, which expresses an action as completed in past time, but leaves it, in other respects, wholly indeterminate.
