Ca-tŏp'ter or Ca-tŏp'tron, n.

n. [Gr. κάτοπτρον, mirror, from κατοπτος, visible, from κάτοψομαι, future of καθορᾷν, to look down, to perceive, from κάτα, down, and ὁρᾷν, to see.] A reflecting optical glass or instrument; a mirror. [Obs.]
