Chrys'ō-tȳpe, n.
n. [Gr. χρυσός, gold, and τύπος, impression, image.] 1. A photographic agent prepared by impregnating paper with a neutral solution of chloride of gold, by which means a picture is produced of a beautiful purple ground.
