n. [Lat. See DRAGON.] 1. (Astron.) The Dragon, a constellation of the northern hemisphere, regarded as representing the monster fabled to have watched the garden of the Hesperides.

  1. A luminous exhalation from marshy grounds.
  2. (Zoöl.) A genus of reptiles; the flying lizard. See DRAGON.
