(ŏng-tr-pō'), n. [Fr., from Lat. interpositum, from interponere, to put between, to interpose, from inter, equivalent to Fr. entre, between, and ponere, positum, to put.] A warehouse or magazine, for the deposit of goods; a bonded-warehouse; a mart or place where goods are received and deposited, free of duty, for exportation to another port or country; a free port.
