Hibernacle

n. [Lat. hibernaculum, a winter residence, pl. hibernacula, winter-quarters; Fr. hibernacle. See HIBERNATE.] That which serves for protection or shelter in winter; winter-quarters; as, the hibernacle of an animal or plant. [R.] Martyn.
