Kăf'fer or Kăf'fre or Kă'fir, n.

n. An unbeliever; more definitely, one of a woolly-haired race inhabiting the eastern part of South Africa. They are generally tall, and have negro features, but are often of a reddish or yellowish color. [Written also Caffre.] Pritchard.
