Lithotriptor

[Gr. λίθος, stone, and τρίβειν, to rub, grind, τριπτήρ, a rubber or tool for rubbing with, Lat. terere, tritum, to rub, grind, tritor, a rubber, grinder; Fr. lithontripteur, lithotriteur. See LITHOTRIPTOR.] (Surg.) An instrument for triturating the stone in the bladder.
