Mōr'al-ist, n.
n. [Fr. moraliste, It. & Sp. moralista.]
- One who moralizes; one who teaches or animadverts upon the duties of life; a writer of essays intended to correct vice and inculcate moral duties.
- One who practices moral duties; a person whose outward conduct is in conformity with morality, or with right and justice; one of correct deportment and dealings with his fellow-creatures; one who prides himself, or relies solely, upon his external rectitude or virtues.
