Mōre-ō'ver, adv.

adverb

[Compounded of more and over.] Beyond what has been said; further; besides; also; likewise.

Moreover he hath left you all his walks. Shak.

Syn.—Besides.—MOREOVER, BESIDES. Besides denotes simply that a connection exists between what has been said and what is now to be added; as, besides, I had not time to go then. Moreover marks the addition of something particularly important to be considered; as, moreover, there were then obstacles in the way which I could not remove.
