Ōr'is-mŏl'o-gy, n.

n. [Fr. orismologie, horismologie, from Gr. ὁρισμός, a marking out as a boundary, especially the definition of a word, from ὁρίζειν, to separate as a boundary, to mark out as a boundary, from ὅρος, a boundary, limit.] (Nat. Hist.) That department which treats of technical terms, whether descriptive or denominative.
