Sĕv'en-teenth, a.

adjective

a. [A-S. seofonteóða, seofonteógeða.] 1. One next in order after the sixteenth; one coming after sixteen of the same kind or class.

On the seventeenth day of the month ... were all the fountains of the great deep broken up. Gen. vii. 11.

Sense 2. Constituting or being one of seventeen equal parts into which any thing is divided.
