a. [Prefix sub and triplicate.] (Math.) Expressed by the cube root; — said especially of ratios.

Subtriplicate ratio, the ratio of the cube root; thus, the subtriplicate ratio of a to b is ∛a to ∛b, or ∛(b/a).
