Tooth'wort, n.

(-wŏrt), n. (Bot.) A plant whose roots resemble human teeth, such as certain plants of the genus Lathræa, and various species of Dentaria. This name is also given to the leadwort, of the genus Plumbago, from its toothed corolla.
