Yēz'de-gēr'di-an, a.

(Synop., § 130), a. (Chron.) Of, or pertaining to, the era of Yezdegerd, the last Sassanian monarch of Persia, who was overthrown by the Mohammedans. The era is still used by the Parsees. It began on the 16th of June, A. D. 632.
