n. [Russ. yufty, yukhty, D. jucht, jugt, Ger. juchten, juften.] A kind of Russia-leather, which, when well prepared, is of a good red color, soft and pinguid on the surface, and pleasant to the touch, having an agreeable, peculiar odor. Simmonds.
