A Great Religious Enterprise.

The Northfield, Mass., Summer Conferences, inaugurated by D. L. Moody, begin the season June 10, a month being spent in preliminary work. July 1 the World's Student Conference begins, and continues ten days. Among the speakers are Bishop Potter, Mr. R. E. Speer, Rev. Edward Judson, D.D., New York City, Rev. R. P. Mackay, Toronto, Canada, Pres. Augustus H. Strong, Rochester Theological Seminary, Chancellor William F. McDowell, Denver University, Dr. C. I. Scofield and Mr. D. L. Moody, of Northfield, and others. For full particulars address D. A. Davy, 3 West Twenty-ninth Street, New York City. The Young Women's Christian Association Conference follows, from July 13 to July 22. The specific aims of this conference are to train college women and city mission workers for organized Christian work. The General Conference for Christian Workers, which is the oldest of the Northfield gatherings, opens July 29 and continues until August 18. This conference is for all, from the deepest spiritual clergyman to the humblest lay worker. Bible Circulation and the Time of the End

The Bible still continues to receive a circulation very far in advance of any other book. The report of the recent annual meeting of the American Bible Society shows that during the year this society has circulated 1,362,273 Bibles, Testaments, and portions of the same, while during the past year the three Bible Societies of the United States and Great Britain have circulated a million and a quarter volumes of the Sacred Scriptures in China alone. All prophecy shows that we are living in the “time of the end,” when the knowledge of the Word of God is making miraculous progress. The living Word of God that gives the knowledge of the “Gospel of the kingdom” will soon be preached in all the world, and we have the promise that “then shall the end come.” Hasten on the glad day of the coming of our Lord.
