Maxim’s Rapid-Fire Gun

The latest invention of Hiram Maxim, of Maxim-gun fame is a rapid-fire gun that throws a shell weighing nine pounds a distance of over three miles. It is claimed for this gun that it can be fired more than twice as fast as any other gun of the same size.
