1 Chronicles 28:21
And, behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.
Solomon was assured that the courses of the priests and the Levites would be with him for all the service of the house of God, that every willing skillful man would be with him for all manner of workmanship for any manner of service, and that the princes and all the people would be wholly at his commandment. The temple work was to be carried forward with the priests and Levites for its sacred service, with willing and skilled workers for every kind of work, and with the princes and the people ready to obey directions. Its completion was not laid upon one person alone, but others were to assist according to their roles and abilities.
The ordering of priests, Levites, willing skillful men, princes, and all the people for all the service of the house of God is of importance to all of God's people living in this age. For the safety and prosperity of His kingdom, God carries on His work through men of His appointment. Those are men who have had a genuine experience and who give promise of developing characters that can be depended upon to bear responsibility in molding and fashioning a nation to do a most solemn, sacred service for God.
God does not link together scattered elements that have not had such experience and give no such promise. The work requires a people uplifted and purified to represent Him.
