1 Kings 14:14
Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now. Moreover the LORD shall raise him up a king over Israel, who shall cut off the house of Jeroboam that day: but what? even now.
The pronouncement belongs to the judgment declared against Jeroboam. His deliberate plans led Israel into idolatry and brought terrible evils upon the people. He was held personally responsible for the results of what he had set in motion. Those who follow his example are likewise held accountable for the consequences of their own wrong course.
