1 Thessalonians 3:11

Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

The verse is a prayer that God Himself, as Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ will direct the way to fellow believers. It belongs together with the prayer immediately following it, that the Lord will cause believers to increase and overflow in love for one another and for all people, in order that He may establish their hearts blameless in holiness before God the Father at the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints. For that reason it is to be read in the churches and carried into practice in life.

It places a solemn obligation upon ministers of the Word and upon teachers in schools to walk in harmony with its words. Character is judged only by fruit. Those who do the Word show by their lives that they are fellow workers with Jesus Christ.
