2 Chronicles 7:11

Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king’s house: and all that came into Solomon’s heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.

The verse belongs to the account of Solomon's reign in the undivided kingdom. Its setting is the building and furnishing of the temple, followed by the dedication prayer, sacrifices, and God's answer to Solomon's prayer. It records the finishing of the house of the LORD and the king's house at Jerusalem in the eleventh year of Solomon's reign, 1020 B.C. The dedication took place at the Feast of Tabernacles a month before its full completion. It illustrates the use of the Hebrew word kalah in the sense of finishing or completing, describing Solomon bringing the Lord's house to completion.
