2 Kings 23:18

And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.

The command was given at Bethel in the course of Josiah's reformation. Just before speaking it, he had broken down the altar and high place made by Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and had taken human bones from the surrounding tombs and burned them upon the altar to defile it. That polluting of the altar was a literal fulfillment of the word proclaimed three centuries before in Jeroboam's presence, that a child of the house of David named Josiah would offer the priests of the high places upon the altar and burn men's bones upon it.

Afterward Josiah saw a monument and asked about it, and learned it was the tomb of the man of God who had come from Judah and had proclaimed those very acts against the altar of Bethel. He then ordered that his bones be left alone and that no man move them, together with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria and was buried with him.
