2 Samuel 5:11

And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, and carpenters, and masons: and they built David an house.

The verse belongs to the account of the rise of David's kingdom and the move of his capital from Hebron to Jerusalem, a history that shows God's providence in building up the kingdom of Israel.
It presents David as king over all Israel, settled in Jerusalem, rebuilding and extending the city until it was called the city of David.
Hiram king of Tyre was David's friend and formed a trading alliance with him.

The alliance brought cedar trees, carpenters, and masons sent by Hiram, who built David a house for himself there.
That building was a large cedar house, part of major building projects David undertook in peacetime.
It proved that David went on and grew great because the Lord God of hosts was with him, giving him the satisfaction of knowing that the Lord had established him king over Israel.

The chapter containing the verse records God's supernatural directions and assistances to David.
The same help is not communicated now because it is not asked for, and it is not asked for because it is not expected, and it is not expected because men lack faith, being under a refined spirit of atheism with no spiritual intercourse with their Maker.
God sees all things and is everywhere and concerns himself with the affairs of his creatures, so whoever has faith in God must exercise and cultivate it and then may remove mountains.
