Deuteronomy 11:4
And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD hath destroyed them unto this day; And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD hath destroyed them unto this day;
Moses gave this reminder as part of his rehearsal of important matters for Israel just before they entered Canaan, with its teaching to be remembered and shared. It recalls the Lord's miracles against Pharaoh and Egypt, when He made the Red Sea overflow the pursuing Egyptian army with its horses and chariots and destroyed them, acts which Israel themselves witnessed and which were set before them as a reason to keep God's commandments so that they would be strong and possess the promised land. The chapter to which it belongs teaches that obedience to God's commandments brings blessing while disobedience brings a curse, and its lessons are as important for people today as they were for Israel.
