Ezekiel 20:15

Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;

In the wilderness God lifted up His hand and swore that the rebellious first generation would not be brought into the land He had given them. That land He had given is described as flowing with milk and honey. That same land is described as the glory of all lands.

The exclusion came because they rejected His judgments, disobeyed His statutes, polluted His Sabbaths, and pursued idols after their own eyes. Pollution of the Sabbath was among the reasons for exclusion, for they greatly polluted His Sabbaths. This judgment of exclusion was accompanied by God sparing the people from total destruction.

Their children did not learn the lesson but continued neglecting the Sabbath through the forty years of wandering. God let that second generation enter Canaan, yet declared they would afterward be scattered among the heathen. Keeping the Sabbath stamps the soul with the sign of God's government, the King's mark that one is chosen and set apart to honor God.

That mark is known by closely examining the Word of God and must not be dishonored by any dishonest transaction, but is kept by honest dealing and by following Christ's compassionate medical missionary methods appointed for Sabbathkeepers. Their Sabbath-breaking connects with a warning against enforcing Sunday observance.
