Ezekiel 29:3
Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
God declared Himself to be against Pharaoh king of Egypt. Egypt's power and confidence were soon shown to be ineffective, for when Judah looked to it for deliverance, Egypt could not save Judah from Babylon. Through its defeat, the people of Egypt themselves would come to know that the Lord is God.
