Ezekiel Prophesies Against Mount Seirby emmanuel_higgins

Ezekiel 35:3

And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.

God declares Himself against Mount Seir, stretching out His hand against it to bring utter desolation upon it. Mount Seir is one of the kingdoms on every side of Israel addressed in the instruction given through Ezekiel. That judgment belongs to Jehovah's instruction given through Ezekiel during twenty-two years pleading with Israel to turn to God. By showing how He has dealt with the surrounding nations, God shows how He brings down their pride and will bring down pride that still remains.

The chapter belongs to the last nineteen chapters of Ezekiel appealed to in support of the return of the Jews and related views of the reign of Christ and the inheritance of the saints. The saints are taken to heaven at the second coming of Christ when the earth is made desolate, which overthrows the return-of-the-Jews theory drawn from such texts.
