Ezekiel 5:8

God himself stands opposed to Jerusalem because of its wrongdoing. He will personally carry out punitive judgments inside the city itself rather than at a distance. Those judgments will take place openly in the midst of the inhabitants where the surrounding nations can watch them unfold.
