Isaiah 14:25
That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
God will break the Assyrian in His own land and tread him under foot upon His mountains, shattering Assyria's power in Judah itself. Then his yoke shall depart from off them and his burden depart from off their shoulders, so that Assyria's oppression ends and Judah is delivered. Assyria had for a time served as God's appointed instrument to punish the nations, yet it would not be permitted to prevail forever. God's purpose to defeat Assyria is fixed and certain and cannot be overturned, giving full assurance that the oppressor's power will be broken.
