Isaiah 15:2
He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off. He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off.
Isaiah 15:2 belongs to Isaiah's burden against Moab, one of the prophecies in chapters 13-23. In that prophecy Moab stands as one of Judah's oppressors. The verse foretells Moab's mourning amid coming devastation, with the people going up to Bajith and to Dibon, the high places, to weep, and howling over Nebo and over Medeba. Baldness upon all heads and the cutting off of every beard are signs of that grief.
