Isaiah 24:14

They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea.

The verse pictures lifted voices raised in song to honor the majesty of the Lord. The crying aloud from the sea is praise sounding from across the sea and from the isles, a call to praise and thanksgiving to God. Even amid the earth's judgment, the singers are a surviving remnant proclaiming that majesty from afar.

They are the redeemed who have returned to Zion, and their singing belongs to the joy and worship where sorrow and sighing have ended. This singing will sound in the hereafter, in the earth made new, where there will be music and song.
