Isaiah 37:38
And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: and Esar-haddon his son reigned in his stead. And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: and Esar-haddon his son reigned in his stead.
Sennacherib was assassinated by his own sons while he was worshipping in the house of his god. The attackers who struck him down escaped into the land of Armenia. His son Esar-haddon reigned in his stead as king. His sudden death by assassination fulfilled the prophecy concerning his end. In this the verse shows how graciously the Lord delivered Hezekiah from the dangers of battle.
