Jeremiah 47:2
Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl.
Jeremiah 47:2 belongs to Jeremiah's prophecy concerning the kingdoms surrounding Israel, in which the doom of those kingdoms is pronounced. In chronological order its prophecy stands after Jeremiah 40-45 and before Jeremiah 46.
The prophecies in the book are not placed in chronological order because separate manuscript rolls were gathered together into one book. The chapter itself nearly always clearly indicates its chronology. This displacement makes no change whatever in the teaching.
