Jeremiah 48:29
We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart. We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.
Jeremiah 48:29 belongs to Jeremiah's prophecy concerning Moab. Moab was one of the kingdoms surrounding Israel whose doom is pronounced in that prophecy.
The verse portrays Moab as exceedingly proud, marked by loftiness and arrogancy and pride, even to the haughtiness of its heart. That pride stood under judgment, for the prophecy declared that Moab's power was to fall before Nebuchadnezzar.
