Man Washes His Clothes in a Streamby emmanuel_higgins

Leviticus 15:11

And whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.

Anyone touched by a person with a bodily discharge who has not rinsed his hands in water must wash his clothes and bathe in water and remain unclean until evening. The contact makes the one touched unclean until evening, with washing of clothes and bathing of the person required for cleansing. Contact with contaminating disease is treated as a possible means of spreading contamination, so thorough cleansing is demanded after such touch. That cleansing embraces both the person himself and his clothing, leaving neither unwashed. Under the same law those personally unclean had to remain outside the camp until evening and cleanse themselves and their clothing before returning.
